Shoal Bay, NSW
Having set out with quite a banal aim of getting “fush’n chups” from apparently a very famous place called ” Aussie Bob’s Fish & Chips” myself and niz set out for Shoal Bay earlier today. From Gosford it’s a comfortable drive up the freeway to Newcastle and then a quick shotover through the marshes and Williamtown bush through to the head of the peninsula.
We have arrived to find a fairly busy beach, flooded with sun, picnicking families and some _very_ clear water in the bay.

The chips are fresh, the fish is delicious and there almost no seagulls whatsoever. For somewhere less than an hour and a bit from home this will be my summer place.
