I have decided to put together this little page that lists my targets, rules and suggestions for models, artists, MUA  and photographers that wish to collaborate with me on a TF* basis.

What is TF* ?

TF* is quite simply put an artistic gathering that produces a photographic result AND no money changes hands for either the time of the model nor the work of the photographer. [1]

Why TF* ?

TF* is mostly a way for me to create photographic art for mutual benefit of the members of the event. Because there is no cost, both the photographer and the participants are free to create without the boundary of an expensive outlay or deadlines.

As an example from my past experience cosplay enthusiasts like to have shoots to illustrate their costumes and many simply cannot pay pro rates.

Basics of shooting with me

Mutual respect. It is of utmost importance is that no time is wasted if neither I nor the model think we can work together. If you would like to meet prior to a shoot to have a cofee and see me, I will never say no. Whether this is to go over the proposed shoot in person or just talk shop and size me up, I welcome this approach.

Make sure your presentation is in line with the expectations you set. Turning up with scruffy hair for a shoot not only delays the start but shows the wrong attitude to the matter. Unless a MUA is present, I cannot guarantee to have all the kit on me especially if we are outside[2] After all with the posing, direction and shooting, breaking of the inter-personal space is almost always the case!

I will always be pleasant, very patient and attentive to detail. My camera and my eyes are the tools that are seeing the whole thing, but I will never reject valid critique and suggestions. Having a humourous conversation while shooting is always a welcome addition.

I do NOT have a permanent studio thus if a studio shoot is planned, advance notice is always required.

My responsibilities and ethics

• I will always look presentable, be responsive and helpful
• I will always consult with the TF* model(s) involved before publication of any images
• I reserve the right to use the images in any way allowed by the particular release
• Models always get a reference when an image is published and a permalink will be given
• I will not stop publication and/or use of images as time goes on if the models’ situation changes[3]
• In case of commercial sale of images, the model(s) will always be a)advised b)share of profit will be paid
• I will deliver a sampler of images within 7 days of the shoot for model(s) to choose from for further post-processing

aaand finally ….

at the end of the day, I like to shoot. People, nature, events and situations …. everything that catches my eye.

I will not laugh, humour or berate you for the idea(s) you may propose and will always hear you. Get in touch !

[1] Some monetary arrangements may need to be made to cover travel costs and sometimes equipment expenses. All charges must be agreed on prior to the photoshoot.
